Travelers Notebook

Hello lovelies πŸ’–πŸ’‹! How have we been lately? Today I want to share about Traveler's Notebook or in short...TN. I got to know about the craze of crafting or scrapbooking in a Traveler's Notebook just last year via Instagram, and I fell in love instantly!  I love the fact that you get to scrapbook in a mini version of it...and journal at the same time too.  Aaannd....you can carry it anywhere anyhow.  Just chuck it in your handbag or in a pouch along with your other scrapbooking essentials, and you're good to go.  Another idea or tip, is to decorate your pages first, and then journal later on when you are on the go.  Brilliant isn't it?  It's awesome for me because I get to put my mobile phone aside, and write more instead. Yes!

So this year, one of my goals is to journal in a Traveler's Notebook, and I am stoked because I got one as a Christmas present.  YippieeeπŸŽ‡πŸŽ†!  Thank you so much to you...you know who you are πŸ˜„! Anyway, I looove the process of creating and journaling in it.  Since I have not been scrapbooking for a long time, this is a perfect way for me to start again.

Here is my very first journal in my TN insert that I am using as my Journal for this year.  And yes, that title is my Word for this year as well.  Let Go.  I am in the midst of letting go of anything that's negative or I find as a clutter in my life.  Also letting go of the need to take control of everything.  This includes people.  I never have many friends but the ones that are with me are the quality ones, those who have been with me through thick and thin.  Those who matter the most to me.  And this page is where I express my decision to do so.

Anyways, I'm so happy with it πŸ’•. I don't intend to decorate it more and I feel that I am comfortable with minimal decorating as the size is quite small (10.5cm X 19cm).  By the way, the TN I got came with 2 free inserts.  The other one I use as my Notes and other random stuff.  At the same time, I have made some TN inserts of my own and they're of a bigger size.  I will share more on it in another post πŸ˜‰.

There you go lovelies!  I'll definitely share more of my journal pages with you from time to time.  Meanwhile, God bless and keep on crafting! Toodles!! 😊

Love,
Susan

Handmade Valentine's Day Cards

Hello there!

How was your Valentine’s Day? I hope you had a great time celebrating this day, be it with your loved ones, family or friends! ❤ ❤ ❤

For Valentine’s Day this year, I’ve come up with 2 handmade cards!
I’ve finally (yes, FINALLY) managed to use the wooden cut-out heart shapes that I bought from Kaison last year and the red doily which has been on my craft table for faaaarrr too long! Lol!
I tend to buy craft things and then forget to use them. They end up just lying around somewhere in the stash, wondering whether they will be used in some craft creations or just for display only… Poor thing!

So here there are…no longer poor things but all pretty & used for Valentine’s Day cards!πŸ’–πŸ’–

 Bonjour beautiful!

Amazing, beautiful & fabulous!

Whether it’s for your significant other, famliy or friends, handmade cards are a great Valentine’s Day gift to give to anyone who you hold close to your heart.
When it’s a handmade card, it becomes more personal and one-of-a-kind, of course!

Til then, happy Thursday! Keep calm and craft on! ✂

Planner Addict: Week 1 (February)

Month : February
Week : 1

Hello!

It’s Friday!!! πŸ’•πŸ’–

Can we let out a huuuuge sigh of relief? I’m just so happy that it is Friday! πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ The weekend is the only time I can really chill & focus on other things apart from work! I find multi-tasking during the weekdays terribly exhausting. πŸ˜“ It’s like having so many tabs open in the brain and they require your attention all at once! Well, am glad to have my Saturdays & Sundays not to have to think of office work (well, not until Sunday night, that is, where your brain starts making those “tabs” come popping back up! *cries* 😭)

For this post, I’m sharing with you my planner layout for February (Week 1). Can you imagine it’s February, already?? It felt as if it was only yesterday that we wished each other a Happy New Year 2017! How on earth did we get to February that fast?? πŸš€πŸš€

So, back to my planner… This time, I went all girly with pink, polka dots and tropical! 🌼🌿 Lol! How cute are those polka dot pink and tropical (those flamingos, especially!) washi tapes and bubble stickers! I just can’t get enough of them!

Since the month of February started off on a mid-week, on Wednesday, and that leaves you with Monday & Tuesday empty, as usual, I just can’t keep my hands off any empty space…and soooo I embellished it with more washi tapes, my favourite quote, sentiment, stickers and a die-cut scallop! Lol!

Do you have any certain style of decorating that you love to use on your weekly planners? Do share them with us!

Have a great weekend ahead!

Much love πŸ’–

The Colour Purple

Hello everybody!πŸ‘‹

I hope you're holding up well through this week..though it does seems that sometimes it's an uphill crawl 🐒🐒 through the middle of the week and then the weekend euphoria happens, and after that plummeting down πŸŽ’ 🎒 with a crash and you find yourself facing Monday again 😭  Lol!

Just to brighten your midweek, I am sharing with you the cards that recently made for an engagement.

It is a card order from my colleague, whose son is getting engaged. The Malay tradition in Sarawak has it that the guy's side (pihak lelaki) of the family has to prepare a document/certificate known as "Watikah Pertunangan"..for both sides of the family. These documents/certificates will be signed by the representatives and witnesses from both sides during the engagement ceremony.πŸ‘«πŸ’•

I was asked to make 2 cards for the "watikah pertunangan". One for each side..the guy's & girl's side. The cards that I made were half A4 in size, with the theme colour purple πŸ’§πŸ’§

Enjoy!πŸ˜ƒ

I mostly used my die-cut machine for this card πŸ’•

The "Watikah Pertunangan"

Glittery purple! πŸŽ‡

How-to: Use your planner effectively

Hello peeps!

How many of you have “Be more organised” as one of your New Year’s resolution? (Well I’m one of them! πŸ™‹ Lol!) I believe one way to get things (or rather, life) more organised, is by using a planner. πŸ“–πŸ“ŒπŸ“Ž Live-Love-Plan planner to be exact…hehe *promo moment*

Our Live-Love-Plan planner comes with a monthly page spread, a weekly page spread & note pages.πŸ“–

The monthly page spread – plans out schedule for your entire month (where you put in dates for birthdays, anniversaries, important events etc.)

The weekly page spread – plans out schedule for your upcoming week (i.e. daily tasks, to-dos, appointments & meetings). The weekly page is a 2-page spread that allows you to view your entire week and each day is divided into 3 columns (i.e. morning, afternoon, night), making your weekly planning much easier.

The note pages – for you to list your ideas & jot down notes, important details, memos etc.

These pages will allow you to get things more organised & your priorities set!

This brings me to share with you how to use your planner effectively. Having a planner can be a very effective way to stay on top of things that has to be done. But first thing’s first, you gotta USE your planner, in order for it to be effective haha! No planner will help you get organized unless you use it & I mean, use it properly & regularly. Say goodbye to dust-collecting-planners or i-look-pretty-just-sitting-on-the-bookcase-planners!

An effective planner should help you focus on your most important tasks instead of showing you how much work you still need to do in a short time. Having a priority list is important!

Here are some tips on how to get started & use your planner effectively:

Use it daily
It’s important to use your planner daily. Those who are new to using a planner may find it a bit of a hassle. But once you lock it in the system (get it stuck in the brain), and make it a point to use it, you’ll find it more manageable. It will take time, however, but just keep it going…you’ll be a planner addict in no time! πŸ‘ Lol! To help you to use it daily, take the planner with you everywhere (well, except the toilet haha), make it a habit to check it often & keep it somewhere visible.

 Getting real
Be realistic. Do not over-schedule daily tasks. Being too ambitious can be hazardous for your soul!πŸ’€ Don’t schedule more than you can handle or you’ll find yourself frustrated, demotivated or at the verge of turning into The Hulk. We definitely wouldn’t want that to happen to any of you.

 Time to review
Set aside time to review your day. It’s time to tick off those to-do lists (ahh…that sweeeet sweet feeling of ticking off those done tasks!😎) & make new ones. You can do it daily or weekly. For daily reviews, it could either be early in the morning, before you start off your day or the night before, whichever suits you more. And for weekly reviews, it could be done on Sunday evenings/night or early Monday mornings. As for me, I would sit down on Sunday evenings (with my hot cup of coffee, of course!) to review my week & plan the upcoming week. As for my daily tasks, I would try to constantly check my lists as often as possible. And that works well for me!

 Embellish, embellish, embellish
Embellish it! Put some glitter & sparkles on it!πŸŽ‡πŸŽ‡Let your creative juices flow! Just like what I’ve share in our previous blog posts, as a crafter, I cannot help but add in colours and embellish my planner pages with stickers, quotes, doodles, washi tapes etc etc! It truly is a fun stress-reliever & makes you excited about your weekly planning even more! Furthermore, by embellishing it, you’ll make it more personalised! Thus making the planner totally your style, unique, one-of-a-kind & bearing your creative “thumbprint”! It’s something that you can’t do on a lappy πŸ’» or even a smartphoneπŸ“± (hah!).

By following these tips, you’ll be well on your way to using your daily planner effectively to plan your days, weeks or maybe even months ahead.

Tell us what tips or strategies have helped you use your planner effectively? Do share them with us.

And if you have bought the Live-Love-Plan planner, do tell us how have you used it, what do you like about it or what do you think can be improved?

Til then, happy planning! Have a great weekend!πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Planner Addict: Week 3

Month : January
Week : 3

Hello peeps! 🐀

We’re having a nice long weekend for the Chinese New Year holiday celebration! πŸŽ†πŸŽ† It's Monday & we're still on holidayy..whoohoo! The best kind of Monday is a Monday that you DON'T have to go to work! Am I right? Or am I righttt? Haha!😝

Well, what have you been up to? Crafting up something awesome? Updating your planner with gorgeous embellished layouts? Or just lazying around watching your favourite dramas on the telly and stuffing yourself with all those glorious Chinese New Year cookies and snacks! πŸ˜†πŸ˜† Lol! Talking about planners, I want to share with you my week 3 of January layout! πŸ“–πŸ“Ž

For Week 3, I've decided to do a red & floral theme πŸŒΌπŸŒΈπŸŒΉ Yea, kinda feelin’ the Chinese New Year mood here, haha! I actually messed up my dates. So, instead of using the liquid paper to erase it & I punched red circles, wrote the dates on it ( I initially wanted to use my white pen to write the dates in the red circle, but it ran out of ink..so black ink, it is..aiyaa) & paste them onto my pages. I still love using my washi tapes, cloth tapes & stamps! I’ve added in some of my favourite verses & quotes as well

So, there it is..my red & floral layout.

How about you? Do you have themes for your weekly planner pages? Or do you just go with what you're feeling at the moment? 😊

Til our next post, have a great day ahead!

Much love ❤,
Evonne
