FMS #70 & PDCC #166 Challenges

Hey hey! It's Tuesday & it's time for our challenge reveal! Yipeee!

This week's FMS challenge is:

And PDC's colour challenge is:

A splash of black, white & emerald green!

Here's this week's creation... :)

I rarely use the colour green in my cards (apart from Christmas cards haha) and this challenge was a great way to alter my colour palette a lil' while making my cards! Happy with my creation expecially that I get to use my cute green felt butterfly!

Today, we're revealing just one of our creations. Sadly, Susan wasn't able to get hers done in time. Looking forward to see what she'll be crafting up for our challenge next week! So stay tuned peeps!

Till then, have a great & fabulous Tuesday!

Much love,
Evonne

*Three Days Later*

Hey peeps!  I'm a few days late.  Huhu!  The card was ready a couple days ago but I just didn't have the time to upload it here because of my crazy workload and LLC's orders.

So here's my take on the challenges:

I made this in 15 minutes!  And love it :).  Now on to the next challenges.

You have a yourself a good weekend.  This weekend will be a tough one for me but by God's grace, I will be okay :).

Toodles peeps!

Indulging

Hey there!  Here are some awesome crafty pics that we just wanna share with you on a seemingly lazy Wednesday afternoon for us.  Hehe.

Here's goes:

This is so cute!  You can have multi-coloured buttons or have matching ones to create a lamp shade to your liking.

Oo my word!  Never thought of using washi tapes for something like this.  Brilliant!

Gonna try and do this one day ;)

Simply adorable!

We hope they've inspired you.

Toodles!

FMS #68 & PDCC #164 Challenges

Hi peeps!  How's your Tuesday morning going so far?  We hope you had a good start for the day.

Here's an update to share with you our creations based on the Sketch and Color Challenges from Freshly Made Sketches & Play Date Cafe Challenges.

My card:

I used 2 types of patterned papers, a portion from a medium large doily, kraft paper, two paper flowers and some blinkies.

I made an Easel Card out of it just to add some fun :)

Printed out a short and simple sentiment for the bottom under layer part, decorated it with some of the left over patterned paper, and blinkies.

There you go...my take on the challenges.  I love the outcome and I cannot wait for the next challenges ;)

Hey y'all, Evonne here! And here's my card! :D

A very simple 'Smile!' card, which I managed to get done in less than
30 minutes! A record for me! Haha..

Weekly Challenges

Howdy!  How's your Monday so far?  Pretty good I hope ;).  Well we just want to share with you that we are following some sketch challenges soon.  Two of them to be exact.

One of them is Freshly Made Sketches.

They put up simple card sketches every Thursday and submission dateline is every Monday.

The other one is The Play Date Cafe Challenge.

Play Date Cafe would put up color combos for challenges and the best part of it is that we can create anything from cards to layout and other crafts, for as long as we follow the color combos.  We decided it would be fun to follow both challenges.  Freshly Made Sketches for their simple sketches and Play Date Cafe for their color combo.  Awesome ain't it?!  Hehehe.

So tomorrow will be the submission for FMS and we're finishing up with our cards tonight.  I know I am.  Evonne told me she got hers done already...cool!

Well, if you are interested to play along, you still have time so go and get on with it then!  Hehe.  Check out the websites for more details.  See ya tomorrow for the updates :)

Baby Boy Card & Sonamu

Hello there!  How's your first week of the new year?  I hope it was grand for you :).  We've just had our few brainstorming sessions for LLC.  God's willing, there will be new things coming up.  Hop in often to check on our updates ya ;).

Anyway, here's the first card to be posted.  A card for a baby boy, made for one of my colleagues who gave birth recently.  It is a half A4 card.  I found the felt embellish pack from a local bookstore and had a super fun time making the card with them.  And super easy too :).  But sorry for the quality of the photo.  I was in a rush and didn't have the time so I just took the picture with my smartphone.  I forgotten to adjust the setting too.  Or maybe it's time to get me a new smartphone.  Hehe!

On a totally non-related note, here's a weather report that we've just received in the news.  For those of us who are staying in the East of Malaysia (Sarawak),  it is predicted that the Sonamu Tropical Storm will hit the West Coast sometime this week.  Some places could have already been hit.  This condition of strong wind and rough sea is dangerous to all coastal and shipping activities including those working on oil platform.  So please be extra careful and alert.

Till then, stay safe and take care peeps!

2013!

Happy New Year everyone!

We hope you had a great time ushering the New Year a couple of days ago.  Oo by the way, better double check when you scratch your parking tickets, or write the dates, or when you change the date stamps.  I'm sure a lot of us are still confused...I just wasted one parking ticket this morning!  Argh!

It's all about getting used to and adapting to the new changes as we come into the New Year.  Some are exciting, and some can be less.  So for a start we'd like to share with you a link for the new January 2013 Free Desktop Calendar by Basic Grey.  Personally, I love to have a cute and pretty Desktop Calendar to begin the New Year or the beginning of every month, and I am sure you do too :).

So enjoy the new Freebie and have yourself a great day ahead :)
