Monthly Crafter

Hi y'all!  It's time for us to introduce to you our fellow crafter for the month.  Some of you may have seen her work through FB.  But for those of you who do not know her, I will let her introduce herself to you below.

My name is Cally Chew. I am an Assistant Finance Manager in a shipbuilding and repair company. I spend most of my free time at the gym and recently at crocheting.

My mum used to do crochet for table clothes a lot last time and she owns a book on crochet basics. Through the book, I started making phone pouches as gifts to my family and friends about 10 years ago.

This year, in 2011, I came across a very cute amigurumi chick in my mum’s craft book and couldn’t resist from making it. When I finished making the chick, I was surprised to how crochet can make such an adorable toy. Again, I fell more in love with crocheting and started to create my own toys referring to pictures and works from others. After a few persuasive advise and orders from friends and family, I’ve decided to set up a facebook account for my works to share with everyone. You can find all my works in detail at

Below are some shots of her latest super adorable creations.

Aren't they super duper cute?!  I borrowed them from a colleague of mine who had just "adopted" them 2 days ago.  And I tell you, she was jumping up and down in joy for the first half an hour when she received them!  Oo well...I would have done the same!  Hahaha!

Anyway, Cally can also be found in FB by the ID Cj Handmades, where you can get details and see more of her works, and of course, place your order.

So hurry up then and look her up.  Smurfies and their cutesy-cutesy friends are waiting eagerly for you to adopt them ;p!

Happy crafting peeps and God bless :p

Trifold Shutter Card #3 - 'Manchester United' theme

Hi everyone! We're back with another trifold shutter card!

This was an order by Ms Yasmin. It's a birthday card for her boyfriend who is a big fan of the Manchester United football team, hence the theme for the card. The card is a mixture of red (of course), black, white & silver. We left the middle part blank for her to put some of her own words in. We do hope she likes it and so does the birthday boy. :)

Here are the pictures! Enjoy! ;)

That's all from us! Have a great day ahead!

Hi everyone! How was your long weekend? Hope you all had a great Malaysia Day on 16th September! Woohoo! Wave your flag! :D

Moving on, we at LLC made another trifold shutter card! This time it's an order by Sue's colleague, Ms Gwen for another colleague's birthday. And here are pictures of our second trifold shutter card. It's a mix of pinky-orangey-green colour theme :) Let the pictures speak for themselves...Enjoy!

That's all for now. Til then, happy crafting!

LLC Project "SATC" (Trifold shutter card) Revealed!

It's time for another reveal! Yippeee!

As previously mentioned in our recent post, we made a Sex & the City themed card. And this card was ordered by Ms Fiona, who will be celebrating her hen's night pretty soon and thus she wanted an invitation card to go with it. She gave us details on how would she want the card to be and specifically wanted it to be a trifold shutter card. Sue & I had never done this type of card before. Our initial reaction was "Whaaaattt??!!! How in the world do we do that??!?" and pretty much followed by a series of spasms thereafter..haha. After recovering from those spasm moments, we put our craft brains together and went working on it. We managed to get it done after a series of burn-the-midnight-oil-nights! Phewwh! But it was well worth those late night sessions and we're really happy with the outcome of the card (we almost didn't want to deliver it to Fiona, haha)

And so, I hereby reveal to you LLC's "Sex in the City" themed hen's night card.

There you have it! LLC's first ever trifold shutter card! We aimed for a glam look, girly + chic and a pinch of naughtiness. ;) And as much as we've enjoyed making it, we're also extremely glad that Fiona liked the card! Yay!

What do you all think of this card? It's not as difficult as it looks, once you've got your measurements all figured out. Maaaybe, we could come up with a tutorial for this! How many of you would like us to post a tutorial on this? :)
